According to UNIAN correspondent, the Foreign Ministry spokesman George Tykhy at a briefing reminded that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga was an important statement about the need to expand the discussion regarding the international contingent from only the land component to guarantee the security of Ukraine in the airspace and in the sea.
“We believe that if our partners and allies are ready to talk, discuss the possible sending of these contingents to ensure long -term peace and security in Ukraine, then it is quite possible to speak about the safety of the sky – about the protection and closure of the Ukrainian sky, including patrolling of our allies and partners,” the quiet.
He also added that even if Ukraine’s defense forces expelled Russia from the Black Sea, Russians can continue to impede the freedom of navigation in the sea.
“Any long -term safety should provide for the increased presence of our allies in the Black Sea, in the air,” the quiet said.
The spokesman added that you need to think comprehensively, because only the land component is one of the possible components.
“In general, the closure of the sky is no less, or maybe even more important than the presence of land troops or some components on Earth. Because, it is the dominance of Russia in the sky, as of now, it allows it, in principle, to prevail in the battlefield, to terrorize Ukrainian cities, communities, communities.
According to him, Ukraine is already talking about it with allies.

In particular, it is a meeting of leaders of the European Union, which will take place on March 6.
At the same time, the spokesman answered the clarifying question whether Ukraine suits the vision of French President Emmanuel Macron, according to which this contingent should not be combat and should not be placed on the front line.
“Let’s not oppose, as France sees and as we see. As well as there is no dispute or any confrontation of positions. There is a wide European discussion that continues on this occasion, in which we participate. In the framework of this discussion, different countries express their thoughts, ideas, suggestions and visions. It will be a contingent where it will be.
According to UNIAN, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky believes that in the event of an agreement on the termination of hostilities, an international contingent that can be deployed to maintain peace along the front line should be 100-150 thousand European military. At the same time, according to the President, it is impossible to deploy an international contingent in the territory of Ukraine without the participation of the US.
French President Emmanuel Macron said his country is ready to provide security guarantees to Ukraine. In addition, he noted that the use of European troops as peacekeepers does not necessarily mean that they will be on the front line.
