Dear Ukrainians!
Today I spoke with the President of Azerbaijan. He expressed his condolences to the President and the people of Azerbaijan.
I have no doubt that the full truth about the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane can be established and that Russia will not be able to hide anything. Partners that Azerbaijan can trust are already involved.
Ukraine will provide all necessary assistance. And we call to support Azerbaijan in this situation. And every country should put pressure on Russia to stop lying about this catastrophe – the same lie as was the case about MH-17, about the Boeing shot down over Donetsk.
In the conversation with President Aliyev, we noted the heroism of the crew, which pulled the plane to the territory of Kazakhstan and saved 29 people. But, unfortunately, many people died, and for all this there should be responsibility – the responsibility of those who hit the plane and who allowed all this in Russia: that the plane became a target.
I heard the intelligence report today about what happened and the data we have. I instructed to convey all the facts to the partners.
We will continue our communication with the leaders in the coming days. Although the New Year is approaching, work is non-stop. We already have a preliminary schedule of our diplomatic activity for the month of January, in particular with our American partners.
He spoke today with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal, and also spoke with the Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko. I heard the details of the import of electricity from the European Union to Ukraine through Slovakia – about 19%. This is in general. We work with other neighbors in the EU.
