– How would you rate the team and the coaching staff in particular for this tournament?
– I don’t really like giving grades. There is a certain team, they also played under another coach. But we have a few young guys who are very promising. It seems to me that this is the merit of Sergey Rebrov. We saw, for example, Kalyuzhny, who showed by his example that something like a fairy tale can happen: that you can get into the national team at such an age from such a team and not be an extra there. It seems to me that Sergey Rebrov showed that he can conduct the selection of players from the youth. This, it seems to me, is very important to me.
But there are also many questions regarding players, for example, who did not play with Georgia. It seems to me that we need everything, the football community, so that our national team is more open. I mean the coaching staff, so that they tell more about what is happening in the team.
Because when you see that, for example, some players are not playing in several games, you need to change something. They did this, for example, in the game with Albania. That is why Yaremchuk and Zinchenko, who scored, and Hutsulyak, who played well, and Kalyuzhny are examples. If you have a team, there are players who can play at a certain level, you need to attract them. Because everything is playing for the people of our country, Levchenko said.
