– The team was in a difficult psychological state due to the recent results. How difficult was it to prepare for this match?
– Of course, it is difficult, because you understand that there must be a result in every match, and we did not win a lot of matches, we lost points. It was a psychological blow. But we talked with the team, and we understand that we all got into this situation together and we will only get out of it together. There is no other way out.
– Did the team feel relieved that they finally managed to win?
– We breathed a sigh of relief because we finally won, but I wouldn’t say it was any kind of relief. On the contrary, it is now necessary to accumulate even more strength so that every game is victorious. When we go on a break, then we will analyze.
– Wasn’t there nervousness at the end of the meeting, when there was a one-goal advantage, and Kudrivka was serving?
– You are constantly nervous when there are dangerous moments, but when the score is 2:1 in the last minutes, you are more focused. We concluded after the previous matches that we have to play until the last second. And so it happened.
– There were a lot of rough clashes on the part of the rivals. Did you expect to be played so roughly against you?
– Many people play like that, so of course we expect it. Everyone wants to beat Dynamo, everyone wants to take points. It’s always been like that, so it’s nothing surprising.
– Today in the starting line-up of “Dynamo” there were players who joined recently from the youth team. As a captain, what advice did you give to young football players today?
– I see it this way – they need to understand that it is necessary to score points and only win, but also that they should not be nervous and show all their best features. It takes confidence, so I constantly encourage them to play more loosely, but follow the coach’s instructions.
– In a few days, “Dynamo” will play against “Fiorentina” in the Conference League. Have you followed their results this season?
– Not really, but I read and look at the results. I think we will watch tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.
