Midfielder Jamie Vardy had a brilliant performance in Serie A, scoring his first double for Cremonese in a 3-1 win over Bologna.
The 38-year-old striker joked that the cool weather in Bologna helped him feel at home:
“We just needed a bit of rain and it would have been a typical midweek game in the UK.”
This match became for Vardy not only the first double in Serie A, but also the MVP award. The striker emphasized the importance of the team result:
“It was great to score two goals, but the most important thing was to get the three points and keep progressing.”
The ex-Leicester star has quickly adapted to life in Italy and praised the team for their unity and drive to succeed:
