London midfielder Tottenham James Maddison was injured in a friendly match with Newcastle United (1: 1).

According to the journalist, Semi Mokbela, a 28-year-old Englishman underwent a medical examination, which revealed a serious damage to the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee.

It is noted that the football player needs surgery through which he will miss most of the season-2025/26.

The current employment agreement of the player with “Sporas” was calculated by June 30, 2028.

Last season, James Maddison played 45 matches for Tottenham, scored 12 goals and gave 11 productive programs.

Earlier, Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank spoke of injury to Maddison.
