The singer has been living in Russia for many years.

YKolazh UNIAN / ScreenshotsYolka did not condemn the attack on Ukraine / UNIAN collage / ScreenshotsSinger Elizaveta Ivantsiv, known by the pseudonym Yolka, removed the reference to the Ukrainian airport “Boryspil” from her hit song “Provence”.

According to Russian media reports, the modified version of the song was played at a show dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Russian Radio and the Golden Gramophone Award ceremony in Moscow.

The song “Provence” was released back in 2011, quickly becoming one of the most recognizable hits of the singer of Ukrainian origin. The chorus contained the following words: “Tomorrow at 7:22 I will be in Boryspil, sitting in the plane and thinking about the pilot.” This piece now reads:

“Tomorrow at 7:22 I will fly to you, sit in the plane and think about the pilot.”

We will remind you that Yolka kept silent about the full-scale attack of Russia on Ukraine all these years. For the first time, she spoke about the war only recently, at one of her concerts.

The singer, who was born in Uzhhorod, urged her fans to “stay above all this” and asked the authorities to “make it so that it doesn’t hurt.”
