Ukraine’s accession to NATO: the latest newsEarlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that Ukraine should not wait for an invitation to the Alliance during the July summit in Washington.

According to the General Secretary, although all NATO countries agree to accept Ukraine into the alliance in the distant future, not all agree to extend an invitation right now. Also, the key problem in this matter is that a simple majority of votes among the member countries is not enough to invite Ukraine to the Alliance.
