Marines coped with an extremely difficult operation.
As reported by the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the situation seemed hopeless, but the marines brilliantly coped with the task. The Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on its Facebook page.
“It was an extremely difficult operation for several reasons: along the entire route, the car was hunted by enemy FPVs, and the road was controlled by enemy artillery,” the report says.
In the video released by the military, you can see how an evacuation group leaves for wounded soldiers who were in close proximity to the enemy. The path to the evacuation point is through open terrain, and the route is controlled by drone operators. It is said that the marines are starting to take out the wounded, and at this time the enemy hits the car, but this did not stop the marines.
During the entire return journey, the Russian occupiers did not stop trying to destroy the evacuation vehicle. The following details of the incident were disclosed:
“Having lost three wheels, the group continues to move… The evacuation vehicle is heading to the place where the wounded are being treated.”
The focus is on the war in Ukraine – which has already been reportedAs UNIAN reported, in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, a group of fighters of the 36th separate marine brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilinsky was surrounded and called artillery fire on themselves in order not to surrender and destroy as many Russian invaders as possible. Surprisingly, after the artillery strike, they managed to survive, but the Russians who surrounded them did not. Part of the story was retold by the “surroundings” themselves.
According to the fighters, they remained to cover the departure of the wounded in Lyubimovka, and as a result, 9 marines ended up trapped in a building surrounded by Russians. When the comrades arrived on the scene, they had to engage in battle with the Russians.
The Ukrainians were surrounded, they were being shot at from different directions, with different types of weapons – RPGs, machine guns, and they were pelted with grenades. At the same time, the marines retaliated and did not let the Russians get close to them, but when enemy vehicles passed them, they realized that the situation was escalating. Therefore, a collective decision was made – to take the fire on oneself.
