Four Ukrainian projects under the EU program have received funding approval. We are talking about 52 million euros for the development of the railway, automobile checkpoints, River Information Service and air navigation support. This is reported by the Ministry of development of communities and territories of Ukraine, reports UNN.

Details

Magda Kopchynska, director general of the European Commission Directorate for Transport and Mobility, announced the completion of the signing of the rant agreements and, accordingly, the approval of funding during her visit to Kyiv and the dialogue within the framework of the International Transport Forum. During the event, the representative of the European Commission presented grant agreements to the beneficiaries of the project – the state agency for infrastructure restoration and Development, JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”, SE “Ukraerorukh” and SE “Ukrvodshlyakh”.

Deputy Prime Minister for the restoration of Ukraine-Minister of development of communities and territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba noted that receiving these grants allows us to move towards Ukraine’s integration into the European transport space.

I would like to thank the competition committee of the CEF program and the European Commission for approving the projects. At the same time, I cannot but note that this is a historic moment when Ukraine has become one step closer to integration with the European Community

In particular, we are talking about the following initiatives:”

“Integration of the Ukrainian railway system into the EU transport system. Stage 1”. The project provides for improving the railway network and developing the track to ensure technological compatibility and increase the capacity of the railway infrastructure;

“Organization of traffic flows in order to increase the capacity of infrastructure, safety and efficiency of border crossing services on the Common Road Romania-Moldova-Ukraine PE Galac/Giurgiulesti/Reni”. The project was developed and submitted jointly with our Moldovan and Romanian colleagues. Its implementation will ensure the continuity of traffic between these checkpoints;

“Ukrainian River Information Service on the Danube River-Ukrris on the Danube River”. The project consists in creating and implementing a river Information Service on the Ukrainian part of the Danube river, including its integration into the EuRIS and CEERIS portal of the RIS COMEX project, as well as ensuring an appropriate level of navigation safety and providing harmonized information services to vessels on inland waterways;

“Integrated modernization of the European CNS network”. The project focuses on the restoration of the Ukrainian air navigation industry and further modernization of the communications, navigation, surveillance and Air Navigation Information Infrastructure.

recall

Ukrzaliznytsia is actively building the first Euro-track in Ukraine between chop and Uzhgorod. 3.5 km of the planned 8.3 km have already been laid, and the work is planned to be completed this year.
