President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that on Wednesday, July 23, a meeting with the Russian side in Turkey was planned. The Head of State stated this during a traditional evening address.
According to the Head of the Ukrainian State, today, on July 21, he discussed with the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov’s preparation of another exchange of prisoners of war. At the same time, the issue of a new meeting with the Russian side in Turkey was raised.
– Today, I discussed with Rustem Umerov preparation of exchange and another meeting in Turkey with the Russian side. Pomerov reported that the meeting was planned for Wednesday. There will be more details tomorrow, ”the President said.
Earlier, Independent Turkce reported, citing sources that Russian and Ukrainian delegations may meet this week in Istanbul on Wednesday or Thursday. Zelensky has already confirmed that the negotiation dialogue is ongoing.
- Earlier, Zelensky voiced three priority issues for Kiev that they want to discuss during the third negotiations with representatives of the Russian Federation. It is the return of prisoners, the return of children who were stolen by Russia, and the preparation of a meeting of leaders.
