The average monthly air temperature in November 2025 in Ukraine is expected to be close to the climatic norm or slightly higher. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center predicts that
on average, the temperature in the last month of autumn will range from +2°C to +8°C, in the south – up to +10°C, and at night in some places it will drop to -5…-8°C.
A cold wave at the end of the month
The first weeks of November will be relatively mild, with short rains and fogs.
Gradual cooling is predicted from the second half of the month, when frosts and the first snowfalls are possible in the northern and central regions. In the west and in the Carpathians, snow with rain and ice is expected.
The amount of precipitation in November 2025 is forecast within the climatic norm, namely from 34 to 77 millimeters, in places up to 100 mm in the Carpathians.
More precipitation is expected in the western regions than in the south and east of the country.
Temperature indicators
- The absolute minimum temperature — up to -18°C, in the Carpathians and the northeast — up to -22°C;
- Absolute maximum — up to +23…+25°C, in the south and in the Crimea — in places +26…+27°C;
- The transition of the average daily temperature through 0°C downwards will take place in the third decade of November, a little earlier in the north, and closer to the beginning of December in the southern regions.
November is a transitional month from autumn to winter.
The pre-winter season begins after a stable transition of the average daily temperature by +5° in the downward direction — usually in the first decade of November, and in the northeast and in the Carpathians — already at the end of October.
The average monthly amount of precipitation will be 35-63 mm, in the Carpathians, the Crimean Mountains and Transcarpathia – 70-108 mm, in the highlands – up to 135 mm.
In the Luhansk, Dnipropetrovsk regions, in the Carpathians and in the south of the country, in some places – 29 – 34 mm.
Tips from forecasters:
Meteorologists advise Ukrainians to prepare for winter weather in mid-November, namely to insulate homes, check heating systems and be careful during icy conditions.
We will remind that on the last day of October, the weather in Ukraine was moderately warm, but it may rain in some regions.
