As of December 2, emergency power outages may be introduced in several regions of Ukraine, in particular in Chernihiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions.
This was reported by acting Anatoly Zamulko, chairman of “Derzhenergonadzor” during the broadcast of the national telethon.
“The difficult situation today is Chernihiv Oblast. Odesa Oblast also has certain problems with electricity supply. Due to the fact that certain networks have a limited resource, longer shutdown queues are used to carry out repair work,” Zamulko noted.
Delays in electricity supply are associated with the limited resource of networks and the need to use longer queues for disconnections.
According to him, Dnipropetrovsk region and Kharkiv region are currently also such regions where the introduction of emergency shutdowns can happen at any minute.
“Today, our entire front-line territory is really suffering from blackouts. But stabilization will certainly come, and I think that we will enter the blackouts that we have planned for ourselves,” added Acting Director General chairman of “Derzhenergonadzor”.
Hourly blackout schedules are in effect in all regions of Ukraine from 00:00 to 23:59, and companies urge consumers to rationally use electricity, especially during peak hours. These temporary measures are a response to Russia’s strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities in recent months.
The authorities hope to stabilize the situation in the power supply, but the results of the enemy’s attack on critical infrastructure require the introduction of active measures to ensure the country’s energy security.
After enemy attacks on energy infrastructure on the morning of December 1, 2025 fixed power outages in several regions, in particular in Kharkiv Oblast, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, and Kherson Oblast. Also, subscribers in Odesa are left without power due to the failure of equipment previously damaged by Russian drones.
