The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues active work on increasing the volume of arms supplies for the Defense Forces. Within the framework of international defense programs, in particular, the “Danish model” and the PURL initiative, the partners have already concluded contracts worth billions of euros and dollars – we are talking about the supply of air defense systems, ammunition and missiles.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced this on Facebook.
According to him, over the past three months, 20 contracts with partners and arms manufacturers worth more than €1.4 billion have been signed within the framework of the “Danish model”. Ukrainian enterprises have already received €427.8 million, and the new tranche of financing is another €825.9 million.
“We are systematically working with partners to increase the number and range of weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including within the framework of other defense initiatives,” Shmyhal noted.
Italy is preparing the twelfth military aid package for Ukraine, which will focus on ammunition and missiles for SAMP/T air defense systems.
