The National Bank of Ukraine has published a strategy for mortgage lending aimed at developing market mechanisms and availability of housing. A strategy developed in accordance with the IMF concept.
The new strategy appeared on the control channel of the regulator.
The strategy developed in accordance with the concept agreed with the International Monetary Fund provides a number of infrastructure changes. Its main goal is to calibrate state support in accordance with market conditions and create an effective residential market.
The key goals defined within the strategy include reducing the level of risks through the introduction of a massive product insurance product and improving the legislative regulation of residential real estate construction. The strategy is also aimed at providing accessible and clear lending by improving the state support model and disclosure standards in accordance with EU norms.
The document also envisages strengthening the protection of creditors by updating the regulation of problem debt. A road card will be developed in the near future.
