The Verkhovna Rada has discussed potential liberalization of the rules of mobilization of citizens aged 18 to 25 years.
This was stated by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk while communicating with journalists.
The speaker stressed that the final decision has not yet been made.
“You know that the Ukrainian Parliament is 398 people who are empowered. I know that this topic is said, in particular, at the level of a special committee, which is a member of which is Vladimir Venislavsky, ”Stefanchuk said.
According to him, legislators are currently looking for a mechanism that would allow citizens of this age group to exercise their rights, given that they are not formally subject to mobilization.
“From 18 to 25, these are those who are not mobilized but have the opportunity to exercise a number of their rights. We need to find a mechanism to allow us to realize our rights, ”the speaker added.
Stefanchuk emphasized that he is currently expecting the conclusions of the profile committee of the Verkhovna Rada, where there is an active work on possible changes.
Recall that in Ukraine, despite the overall mobilization of men aged 25-60 years, persons with disabilities have the right to defer from the call. This applies to all disability groups (1, 2, 3), regardless of the diagnosis or duration of the disease. However, there are exceptions when mobilization with disabilities is possible.
EarlierThe Armed Forces Oleksandr Sirsky said that mobilization in Ukraine should not be a shock for people. To do this, the territorial centers of completion should change.
