Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation exposed a criminal organization headed by a serviceman. It was engaged in large -scale theft of diesel fuel and lubricants in the military.
According to the investigation, this part was responsible for the distribution of about 10% of the total provision of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with fuel. The organizer involved other military and civilians. They artificially overstated the volumes of distributed fuel. The attackers sold surpluses through private entrepreneurs.
From November 2024 to January 2025, law enforcement officers documented about 20 episodes of theft. During them, 20 thousand liters of diesel fuel were stolen and sold for the amount of UAH 1.2 million. The total amount of stolen fuel is estimated at hundreds of tons.
During the special operation of the DBR, the organizer of the scheme, three military accomplices and one civilian detained. The persons are charged with the creation and management of a criminal organization, as well as theft of military property due to abuse of office (Part 2, 3, Article 255, Part 4 of Article 410 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The issue of choosing a pre -trial detention is currently being resolved.
It should be reminded that the State Bureau of Investigation, with the assistance of the SBU, exposed on the bribe of the head of one of the units of the tax service of the Kirovograd region. Together with other officials, he received 200 thousand hryvnias from a representative of a private enterprise, which sells agricultural products.
