Ukraine received Italian B1 Centauro wheeled tanks produced by the CIO – Consorzio Iveco OTO Melara consortium, which includes the companies Iveco and OTO Melara.

The first public appearance of this equipment was recorded in the armament of the 78th separate airborne assault regiment.

The combat vehicle is equipped with a 105-mm gun, has high mobility and is suitable for fast maneuvering operations. In the photo published on the network, anti-accumulative grids and a collapsible brazier of a typical design, which the military uses in the field, are also visible.

The transfer of these tanks was reported back in February by a user of the X network under the nickname A-129 Mangusta, who published a photo from the Italian storage base. They show that part of the B1 Centauro is still in Italy.

Italy is preparing the twelfth military aid package for Ukraine, which will focus on ammunition and missiles for SAMP/T air defense systems.

Almost all American weapons provided for by the new agreement between Washington and NATO to be supplied to Ukraine already ready before sending
