Two Ukrainian rail drivers were detained in the case, they were charged with participating in an organized criminal group and the illegal organization of the crossing of the border of Poland. The drivers are threatened with up to 8 years in prison, but they did not recognize their guilt, so the indictment will be sent to court.
According to the investigation, the suspects received at least $ 10,000 for a crossed person. Such crimes in Poland are gaining momentum, so further detentions are not excluded.
Poland also reported the detention of two citizens of Ukraine who got to the EU through this channel. Ukrainians were detained in the country, they were charged with the illegal crossing of the border by fraud and complicity with others.
According to Polish militiamen, both men pleaded guilty and explained that they tried to avoid conscription. During the investigation, the prosecutor’s office appealed to Ukraine for legal assistance.
