Getmantsev criticized the subsistence minimum: what offers

The subsistence minimum of about 3000 UAH does not reflect the real needs and expenses of people in Ukraine. The subsistence minimum of about 3000 UAH does not reflect the real needs and expenses of people in Ukraine.

This was stated by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Financial Policy interview for news “News.live”.

The People’s Deputy proposes to start an open discussion and create an honest subsistence calculation.

“We have to honestly calculate the subsistence minimum. And to tell people: today we cannot provide it, but we will show a plan – when and at the expense of what we will go to this level, ”he said.

Danilo Getmantsev recalled that the state has no right to pay social payments less than the subsistence minimum is a violation of the Constitution.

The People’s Deputy stated that the subsistence minimum should be removed from the salaries of officials and fines, make it real and gradually reach this level by sharing the economy and optimization of budget expenditures.

We will remind that in the project of the state budget for 2025 the increase of the subsistence minimum and the minimum wage was not planned. That is, the minimum wage will remain at the level of UAH 8,000, and the subsistence minimum for able -bodied citizens – at the level of 3 028 UAH.
