According to the information of the DMSU, a special mode of entry and exit from the city began operating in Uman on September 23. In particular, a mobile situational center was installed, which is technically equipped for control and security on the streets during the celebrations.

“The patrol police and other law enforcement agencies are working in an intensified mode. Israeli police officers arrived in Uman. Together with their Ukrainian colleagues, they serve in places of Hasidic residence and pilgrimage,” the message states.

Compliance with the legality of the stay of foreign guests will be monitored by the unit of the Central-Southern Interregional Administration of the State Migration Service, which has been technically reinforced with specialized vehicles and a mobile automated workplace, the press service added.

It will be recalled that Hasidic pilgrims began arriving in Cherkasy to celebrate the Jewish New Year – Rosh Hashanah, which this year is celebrated in October.

In 2023, 35,000 Hasidim arrived in Uman, Cherkasy Oblast, for Rosh Hashanah, the beginning of the new year.
