“Wordley ceased to be the interim world champion according to the version of the World Boxing Association”, — write: sport.ua
Interim world champion Fabio Wordley (20–0–1, 19 KOs) lost his title due to a fight with New Zealander Joseph Parker – the Briton knocked out his opponent and won the WBO Interim belt, so he does not have the right to hold two titles at the same time.
Undefeated British Moses Itauma (13-0, 11 KOs) continues to hold the top spot, who last stepped into the ring in August when he destroyed his compatriot Dillian Whyte.
Argentina’s Lenier Pero and DR Congo’s Martin Bakole improved their positions and are now in second and third place, respectively. Albanian Nelson Hisa and Croatian Filip Hrgovic were also in the top five.
The championship titles in the royal division are held by two boxers: Oleksandr Usyk holds the WBA Super belt, and Kubrat Pulev from Bulgaria is the regular champion.
