“According to the Alliance, Ukrainian defenders in Myrnograd are “virtually surrounded” and depend on drone deliveries.”, — write: www.pravda.com.ua
Source: this was stated by a high-ranking NATO official to journalists before the start of the Alliance’s ministerial meeting, answering questions from “European Pravda”
Details: There is a separate group of officials in the Alliance that assesses the situation on the battlefield in the Russian-Ukrainian war – both according to non-public data provided by Ukrainian partners and based on the intelligence of allies. According to the Alliance’s assessment, it is now possible to claim that “Myrnograd is practically completely surrounded.”

“There is a narrow corridor through which the Ukrainians can retreat certain forces, but it is a really narrow corridor, and even it is under fire control. That is, in general, it is an encirclement, although it is not yet a complete encirclement,” said the NATO representative.
The Alliance also emphasizes that the Ukrainians in the city have not laid down their arms and continue to repel attacks, although they feel the problem of a lack of supplies.
“Currently, Ukrainian forces are still conducting defensive operations inside the city, but since the supply routes are almost completely cut off, the Ukrainian military is dependent on drone deliveries, which are increasingly difficult to do,” the interlocutor said.
He also admitted that the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Pokrovsk is almost completely lost.
“The Russians control more than 95% of the city… There are only isolated pockets where Ukrainian forces continue to resist,” he said.
At the same time, NATO insists that Ukraine is preparing for further defense in case and after these cities are lost.
“Ukraine is building additional defense lines in the directions where the offensive of Russian forces is expected after Pokrovsk. The Ukrainians have already made efforts to slow down this advance,” the representative of the Alliance explained to the EP.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Estonia analyzed the situation around Pokrovsk – they expect the fall of the city in December.
At the same time, the partners insist that the fall of Pokrovsk will not change the general picture of the war.
