A variety of cars take part in the auction – from museum rarities to models with record mileage, each of which has its own unique story. Auctions are held by region, where each region puts up for sale approximately three dozen cars. Most of the cars presented are from the Khmelnytskyi region, the oldest model is the GAZ-52 of 1979, and the youngest is the Citroën Berlingo of 2021.
The average mileage of the car is about 470,000 km, with physical wear and tear up to 96%. Smilyansky emphasized that among the participants of the auction, the most durable car is the Volvo FH 12, which has traveled 2.9 million km. The sale of such cars will help reduce their expenses and provide funds for the renewal of Ukrposhta’s fleet. In the near future, another auction is planned, at which about 250 cars will be exhibited.
November 17 JSC “Ukrposhta” concluded an agreement with the American company iGlobal Exports LLC (Zonos) for services for the payment of customs payments to the US Customs and Border Service in the amount of $8 million (336.32 million UAH).
