Details: This happened after the Moldovan authorities received information about a drone attack on the city of Bolgrad in southern Ukraine.

According to the statement of the border police, at 01:20 the Air Operations Service of the Ministry of Defense reported the presence on the radar of drones on the territory of Ukraine, which were moving from Reni in the direction of Bolgrad. At the same time, the State Border Service of Ukraine announced that the city of Bolgrad was attacked by Shahed drones.
Between 01:15 and 01:30, patrols of the border sectors of Chismichioi, Kopceak and Vulkanest reported several explosions over the Ukrainian city, as well as the operation of air defense systems.
Under these conditions, all border sectors in the south of the Republic of Moldova were put on alert and began continuous monitoring of the airspace along the border.
The air alert in Ukraine was canceled at 02:01 and traffic through the Giurgiulesti-Reni checkpoint was immediately restored.
The authorities declare that the airspace of the Republic of Moldova was not violated and that there were no risks for the population of the border zone.
Earlier it was confirmed that through the airspace of Moldova two Russian drones flew by from those with which Ukraine was attacked on the night of November 29.
Due to the closure of the airport of the capital of Moldova, which lasted for more than an hour, the plans of three flights heading to or departing from Chisinau were disrupted.
The previous incursion of Russian drones into Moldova took place on November 25 – then it was recorded flight of six unmanned aerial vehiclesone of them “landed” on the roof of a building in the countryside. The drone also flew deep into the territory of Romania, more than 100 km from the border with Ukraine.
