Manchester City are at risk of losing two goalkeepers in the upcoming winter transfer window. According to Daily Mail Sport, James Trafford and Stefan Ortega are set to leave due to a lack of game practice.

Trafford, who returned from Burnley for £27million this summer, was initially expected to become the first-choice goalkeeper after Ederson’s departure. He was even told that he would join City in that capacity.

However, the club unexpectedly signed Gianluigi Donnarumma from PSG at the deadline. Since then, the Italian keeper has played every Premier League game, leaving Trafford with no chance of a starting spot and reducing his chances of making the England squad.

Newcastle, who have also previously claimed the goalkeeper, are expected to make another bid for the 23-year-old Englishman.

Stefan Ortega is also dissatisfied with his position. The 34-year-old goalkeeper has dropped to fourth in the domestic pecking order behind Marcus Bettinelli and is not even included in the squad for away matches. This prompts him to look for options to continue his career outside of Manchester City.

We will remind, Calvin Phillips is ready to leave the Premier League in order to continue his career.
