Details: Zelenskyi also announced that on Saturday he held meetings with the head of the GUR Kirill Budanov, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal, First Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, and Deputy Head of the President’s Office Pavlo Palisa.
“Each of these meetings is about different aspects of our internal stability and, of course, about our strength that can help the right negotiations,” the president said.
Prehistory:
- After exposing corruption schemes in the energy sector, on November 19, the Verkhovna Rada voted to dismiss Svitlana Grynchuk from the position of Minister of Energy. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed Artem Nekrasov as acting Minister of Energy.
- Also, on November 19, the Verkhovna Rada voted to dismiss Herman Galushchenko from the post of Minister of Justice. The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Lyudmila Suhak as acting Minister of Justice.
- On November 24, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Prime Minister Yuliya Svyridenko, together with the deputies of the majority faction, will agree on candidates for the positions of Minister of Energy and Minister of Justice.
