Direct speech: “At night, an enemy target fell right next to a residential building on the Kharkiv highway. The wave from the explosion was such that windows were blown out in all the houses around. People’s doors were jammed. A fire broke out in a high-rise building.
We are coordinating together with rescuers and utility workers to eliminate the consequences as soon as possible. The scale of damage is significant.
Here at the location, 17 people were injured and one person died. More than 600 windows and balconies were damaged.”
Details: Before that, Tkachenko reported that traffic had been restored on the Kharkiv highway, which had been blocked since the night.
“As a result of the attack, fragments of enemy targets polluted the lanes. Because of this, a collapse occurred on the traffic section, which affected the entire left bank,” he said.
What preceded: On the night and morning of November 29, the Russians inflicted combined strike on Ukraine. The enemy used about 36 missiles and almost 600 drones. According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the main goals of the Russian Federation were energy and civil facilities.
Damage caused by shelling in Kyiv suffered high-rise buildings and private houses in several areas. Two people died in the capital, 37 others were injured.
Because of the attack, half a million inhabitants of the city remained without light. Later, some consumers restored electricity supply.
In the capital, against the background of the Russian combined attack, traffic on the Kharkiv highway was blocked, trolleybuses and trams were delayed on the right bank of the city.
