Former Ukrainian football player Evgeny Konoplyanka told that during his performances for “Seville” “Barcelona” was interested in him.
“I remember, somewhere in the middle of the season, an agent came up and said: ‘Barcelona is watching you.’ I’m like, “Seriously? Nothing!” And then bang – Emery doesn’t put me in the lineup after the game. It’s demoralizing, because you think: “There’s Barça, but I’m not playing against Levante.” I wanted to show myself.
At such moments, it is important for the agent to explain the situation – they say, the coach does this on purpose so that you adapt, or there is a language barrier. But when you’re young, you just want to play. We are all like that – hot, we want to prove our strength,” said Konoplyanka.
