– Congratulations on your debut. Although the bill is unpleasant, today is probably a special day for you personally?
– Thank you very much for the greeting. Yes, of course. For me, this is the day of a dream that came true today. Somewhere the result was a little affected, but it’s okay. I want to thank the fans who supported us today. We also want to thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Unfortunately, we did not succeed today, but we tried. Somewhere, perhaps, we lacked not so much luck as patience. But this is football. We played against one of the strongest national teams in the world, so we are moving on.
– You were supposed to play for the U-21s, but it just so happened that you played against Mbappe today. How do you rate your debut?
– Of course, it is very nice to play against such players. When you play against such players, you immediately feel your level and where you still need to grow. I consider it a good match, but I don’t want to evaluate myself – it’s not my task. In general, we played well in the first half, defended well, followed the coach’s instructions. In the second half, they couldn’t hold on, they conceded a stupid goal from the penalty spot… I think that the moment was like that. They had 50 on 50, we also had 50 on 50. I felt that I played the ball, but VAR didn’t even look at it. But this is football, it happens differently. We have to go further.
– How would you rate the episode that happened at the moment of the penalty?
– Everything happened very quickly. I felt the touch of the ball, but I also felt the touch of the leg. I won’t hide it. I will watch the replay, maybe I will analyze the moment somewhere. If it’s a penalty, then I’m wrong. But I say again: this is football, such situations happen. An important match is ahead, so we are preparing and waiting for it.
