A breakthrough occurred in a uranium mine in Kirovohrad Oblast, two workers disappeared

On November 11, an emergency situation occurred at the “Ingulska” mine (Kirovohrad region), which is the largest uranium mine in Ukraine: in the underground production of the spent block, a breakthrough of the hydro-laying mixture (pulp) occurred and the flooding of two horizons. At the time of the accident, there were four employees of the contracting organization PP “Svitex” from Kryvyi Rih at the accident site.

Two workers were able to get out of the accident area on their own and were quickly raised to the surface. Two other employees stopped communicating. As of 14:00 on November 12, their fate remains unknown.

Currently, emergency and rescue operations are ongoing with the involvement of the forces and means of the State Emergency Service and the mine of Ingulska East GZK. The mining rescue team pumps out water and monitors the gas content in the air.

The Ministry of Energy reported that an appropriate commission will be created to investigate the causes of the accident.

As a result of a Russian missile attack in the Dnipropetrovsk region, eight coal mines, where almost 2,600 miners were, were cut off.

Also, at a coal mine in Donetsk region, as a result of a Russian attack, one miner was killed and three others were injured.
