It is planned that ChatOS will be used in scientific research.
PewDiePie talked about his AI project / Photo – PewDiePieYouTube star PewDiePie (Felix Kjellberg) announced the launch of his own AI project called ChatOS. He put together a local setup of ten graphics cards (8 RTX Ada and 2 modified RTX 4090) to run the AI service.
According to Felix, the initial task was to help with scientific tasks, such as the calculation of protein structures, but later he ran several models simultaneously, combining them into a system called “Council” and then “Swarm”.
PewDiePie went further by creating a web service for interacting with local AI models: adding web search, answer generation, audio inference, and memory. The models began to interact with each other, voting for answer options and showing signs of a collective strategy.
Kjellberg notes that this effect was undesirable: “When the models started to collude and support each other, I changed the system to a more ‘dumb’ model.”
At the same time, PewDiePie emphasizes that his installation is not a commercial project, but an experiment.
We previously reported that OpenAI banned ChatGPT from responding as a personal physician or lawyer. Also, the chatbot no longer analyzes medical images and body photos.
