Career Roman Skulchuk was born on January 8, 1994 in the village of Vyzhenko, Vyzhnytsia district, Chernivtsi region. At home, at school and even at the front of Roman was called Nazar. His godparents was the singer Nazarii Yaremchuk. However, this did not affect the choice of name.
The boy’s mother wanted her son to be called Nazar. The grandmother first was against it, because there was no one with that name. But later she was inspired by the story of the film where the actor was called. Since then, her grandson has been called only Nazarchik. The father still wrote his son in the certificate of Roman. So he became Roman Romanovich.
Because the boy’s parents often went to work, his grandmother looked after him. She taught his first chess moves. The guy trained with his grandfather, who was a good player. Lyubov Skulchuk constantly bought the grandson of the literature of famous grandmasters. He says he read them very quickly and asked for something new. Later, the novel was a multiple chess champion.
After graduating from a comprehensive school, the guy graduated from the College of Arts and Design. After completing his studies, Roman worked at a boarding school. Grandma says that the children loved him very much. But because of a meager salary, the guy was forced to look for another job. So Roman went to work abroad, where he worked on construction. On the eve of the war he came home and planned to work on his native land. He also wanted to plant a vineyard and engage in beekeeping.
Combat experience After a full -scale invasion of Russian invaders into Ukrainian land, Roman Skulchuk volunteered to defend the Motherland. “He said,” Grandma, fry me a few cutlets and make sofas, give some T -shirts, because I go to the military enlistment office. ” I was very worried, but I couldn’t stop it. Because she raised her grandchildren so that she did not dare to stop him, ”Lyubov Skulchuk recalls at that moment.
The man in the military unit A2582 served, participated in hostilities in Mykolaiv region and Donetsk region. Roman’s grandmother says that his grandson had no fear in the war – faith was facilitated.
“He was very believing. I read the spiritual literature of different faiths. He told me when he was on the front: “God is protected by me,” Lyubov Skulchuk recalls.
Love Skulchuk Death Roman died 28-year-old, on July 19, 2022 as a result of a hostile shelling near the settlement of Verkhnokamonsk Bakhmut district in Donetsk region.
“On the eve of two weeks there was no connection with Nazarchik. I was very worried about it. On July 19, at 5:30 pm, she received a message from which he promised to call soon. But on the same day at 21:30 he was gone, ”the grandmother says.
When the novel was injured, the brothers rushed to him. However, he asked them not to take care of him and keep himself. The boys took him out of the battlefield and took him to the hospital. But the wounds were deadly.
The last words that the novel told the brothers:
“Guys, sorry that I was not aware of Muscovite, I did not fulfill my mission.”
Honoring The warrior was buried on July 24, 2022 in Vyzhnytsia, where he lived.
In 2022, the Vyzhnytsia City Council and Vyzhnytsky Professional College of Arts and Design named after Vasyl Shkriblyak launched a chess tournament of Roman Skulchuk.
