“We urge you not to make mistakes of the previous government and make a historical decision that will testify to the true will to change. Appoint Alexander Tsvinsky Director of the Bureau of Economic Security and start a real restart of the body that the whole country is waiting for. We look forward to your wisdom and responsibility to society and the state, ”the statement reads.
The signatories note that society, business and international partners have enormous hopes for restarting the Bab, since “the effective, depoliticized and professional work of this body is the key to creating a favorable investment climate, shadowing the economy and strengthening trust in state institutions.”
The day before, Yulia Sviridenko asked the People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on the appointment of Tsyvin.
Sviridenko, answering, said that the actions of the government comply with the law.
“As for the Babe procedure, it is executed in accordance with laws and regulations. We were made a decision. We, as members of the government, considered this decision, and each of us had the opportunity to express our position: to refrain, to vote for or to refuse according to the information that was heard by the relevant Minister of European Integration and Justice concerning the links with the aggressor country, ”the Prime Minister said.

On June 24, the competition commission for the selection of the Director of the Bureau of Economic Security has decided to submit to Prime Minister Denis Schmigal the candidacy of the finalist-Alexander Tsin.
However, on July 7, the Cabinet reported that he considered the submission of the Commission on the appointment of the Bab Director, and also studied additional materials, “provided in particular by the Security Service of Ukraine concerning national security issues and containing appropriate security estimates.”
In the end, the government proposed the commission to “submit no more than two candidates that will meet all the requirements, including security criteria.”
Oleksandr Tsinsky called this decision of the Cabinet of Ministers to reject his candidacy such that “does not comply with the law”.
Tsivinsky heads the third unit of detectives of the second main unit of NABU detectives. According to media reports, during the selection, the commission drew attention to the letter from the Security Service, according to which Tsvinsky, among other candidates, allegedly had relatives in Russia. In particular, his father allegedly lives there. During the hearing, Tsinsky said that he did not communicate with his father.
In a comment to the public July 8, he said that “his father, even if he is a Russian citizen now, which has not been confirmed, has been living in Ukraine for the last 30 years.” He also noted that he has not communicated with his father for 10 years.
