Yuri Sheiko stated this during a meeting of the Committee on Energy and Utilities.
“The debt of SE” Guaranteed Buyer “before the RES is UAH 24.8 billion. This is UAH 0.5 billion less than at the beginning of the year,” Sheiko said.
At the same time, he said that Ukrenergo’s debt to a guaranteed buyer for green energy development services is currently UAH 19.4 billion. It is less than UAH 2 billion than the beginning of the year.
The Deputy Minister also said that in the near future it is worth reducing the debt to electricity producers from RES by referral of Ukrenergo funds for the dispatching department in 2023 and 2024.
Earlier, Vladislav Sokolovsky, the chairman of the Board of the Association of Solar Energy of Ukraine, has blamed that the payment of debts for green electricity would be an incentive to build new power plants.
