Direct Rubio language: “NATO is not in danger. The only thing that is jeopardy is that we have NATO members who have almost no armies or whose armies are not very combatant because they spent 40 years without spending no money on them. We have been and are NATO.”

Details: He added that we are talking about rich countries, especially in Western Europe, which “have a lot of money” and who “should invest them in their national security, but they do not.”
“You have countries that spend 1.5% or 1% of our economy, and we simply cannot continue to subsidize it. It is unfair and vibrant,” Rubio stressed.
“What is jeopardized by NATO is that in some cases we do not have the Alliance. Now they have done it. Poland, the Czech Republic – there are a bunch of countries that have done it, but some have not done it. And these are rich countries – Germany, France,” – summed up the American politician.
