Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi held talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. In particular, they discussed steps that can strengthen Ukraine. Zelensky announced this on the social network on Friday, reports UNN.

He had a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and thanked him for his leadership in helping Ukraine with air defense systems – the very effective “Patriots” and IRIS-T, which have already saved thousands of lives. I am grateful to the Chancellor for his willingness to continue to support Ukraine, in particular our defense against Russian aggression and our stability. We discussed which of our bilateral steps and the steps of our partners can strengthen Ukraine

The President emphasized that it is important that the pressure on Russia increases and that Ukrainian positions become stronger, because this will force Russia to real peace.

According to him, the Chancellor of Germany told about the details of his call to Putin. “It is obvious that only the force of arms and the power of diplomacy together can force the perpetrator of the war to peace, and that peace is possible only through force,” the President added.
