As a result of repatriation measures, Ukraine returned the bodies of 502 fallen defenders to the territory under its control, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reports on Friday, November 29.

According to the data, 397 dead soldiers were returned from the Donetsk region, 24 from the Luhansk region, 64 from the Zaporizhia region, as well as 17 Ukrainians from Russian morgues.

The Coordination Headquarters noted that the fallen soldiers were returned with the assistance of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The Armed Forces organize the transfer of bodies to representatives of law enforcement agencies and forensic medical expertise. The identities of the dead will be established as soon as possible, the message states.

On November 8, Ukraine also exchanged the dead and returned 563 fallen servicemen, most of whom died in Donetsk region.
