It’s weathered many storms – from the pandemic to government crackdowns.

Co-founder Cameron Leslie summed it up: “The reality of running a licensed venue is always a complicated and fragile one. You simply do not know what is round the corner and have to be prepared to face constant challenges.”

For DJs, playing at fabric is a career pinnacle.

The venue’s underground vibe is a breeding ground for new talent and a haven for established artists. Clubs like fabric are where emerging talent first gets the chance to shine thanks to people like Leslie and Judy Griffith.

To mark their 25th anniversary, fabric has teamed up with UK music culture artist Mark Vessey for a special commemorative photographic print.

Cameron Leslie said: “fabric has always been about culture, music culture, club culture, youth culture and art.

“The venue has always strived to be as forward thinking and innovative on all levels, not just its music offering.

“The artwork for our flyers across 25 years has always been progressive as too the artwork for our mix series.

“It makes sense that the physical CD compilations of fabric are documented and celebrated. We are thrilled to have worked with UK artist Mark Vessey, who will immortalise the collection for all to see.”

To celebrate their incredible contribution to British culture, fabric has also teamed up with one of electronic music’s biggest icons, Laurent Garnier.

This special project with the French DJ/producer has been a year in the making and is the first of its kind in the fabric Presents series. It’s available in limited edition deluxe vinyl & CD.

Leslie explains: “There is just a different level of quality and depth to having and feeling the physical product.

“The ritual of putting on a piece of physical format music invokes a desire to respect that music even more than we would otherwise do in this highly disposable age.”
