The president of American Inter Miami, Jorge Mas, in his latest interview, expressed the hope that one day his club will be able to participate in the Copa Libertadores, an annual international tournament in which the best teams from South America participate, despite the fact that the Herons represent another continent on the other side of the equator.

“I said it before, I would like Inter Miami to participate in the Copa Libertadores because we want to play against the best clubs in South America.

It seems very selfish of me, but this is the only competition Messi hasn’t played in yet.

Obviously, calendar and federation issues have made this wish difficult to fulfill, but I keep dreaming. Hopefully one day we’ll see Inter Miami at the Copa Libertadores,” said the American official.
