The head of the General Directorate of Entertainment of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al-Sheikh, announced that the rematch between the WBC, WBA, WBO and IBO heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk and ex-WBC champion Tyson Fury will take place on December 21, 2024.

On May 18, Usyk defeated Fury by split decision and became the absolute world champion.
