The suspects are charged with illegal transportation of persons across the border and receiving illegal benefits (Part 3 of Article 332, Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The criminal group included the head of the TCC and SP department, a member of the military medical commission, the head of the hospital department, two former law enforcement officers and a civilian.
According to the investigation, they have been operating since August 2023, helping conscripts avoid mobilization on the basis of forged medical reports.
The scheme provided for fictitious diagnoses of psychological disorders, “treatment” in a hospital, and obtaining documents on unfitness for military service. The so-called “white” tickets provided allowed men to go abroad during the war.
The cost of such services ranged from 9 to 14 thousand dollars. Law enforcement officers recorded two cases of transfer of money in the total amount of 18 thousand dollars.
At present, the question of selecting preventive measures for those involved, removing them from positions, and verifying their involvement in similar offenses is being resolved. Searches are being conducted and medical records are being studied.
It will be recalled that on November 14, near the border with Romania, border guards discovered 11 men of draft age who were trying to escape to the neighboring country. But it is not a fact that it would have succeeded, because bear tracks were found nearby.
The Security Service and the National Police have eliminated 4 more mobilization evasion schemes. They operated in different regions of Ukraine.
