For several weeks, the Ukrainian military has been preparing an operation to liberate the aggregate plant in Vovchansk, Kharkiv region. This will make it possible to develop a counteroffensive operation in this direction.
Andrii Chernyak, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, said this on the air of the Edyni news telethon on Sunday, September 29.
As Chernyak noted, the operation in Vovchansk was necessary in order to “simplify the logistics of supporting our forces in the region.”

“In the future, this will enable the Defense Forces of Ukraine to conduct counteroffensive actions and drive the enemy out of Ukrainian land,” the HUR noted.
Ukrainian intelligence added that the Russians at the aggregate plant in Vovchansk noted “serious losses”.
“In fact, terrible, wild, strange things happened there from the Russian commanders to their subordinates. It is about deliberate murders, it is about terror. This is another example when a Russian soldier does not have any rights and is not considered a person at all,” said Chernyak.
On September 24, NV sources in the Ministry of Defense reported that the Main Directorate of Intelligence vacated the Vovchan aggregate plant in the Kharkiv region, clearing the last of the plant’s thirty buildings.
At the end of August, the spokesman of the Kharkiv operational-tactical group, Vitaly Sarantsev, stated that Russian military personnel remained at the aggregate plant in Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, and had been blocked there for several months. A representative of Kharkiv Technical University reported that at first there were about 40 Russian soldiers at the plant, but the occupiers suffered losses.
