On September 29, Ukrainian tennis players Marta Kostyuk and Lyudmila Kichenok started in doubles at the WTA 1000 hard tournament in Beijing.
In the 1st round, Ukrainian women took to the court against the tandem of Kateryna Sinyakova (Czech Republic) / Taylor Townsend (USA).
Marta and Lyudmila lost the first set with a score of 2:6. In the second game, the duets reached a tie-break, where the representatives of Ukraine won the first two points, after which the meeting was interrupted due to rain.
With night falling in Beijing and the rain still falling, the outdoor matches were canceled and postponed to the next game day. This also applies to the match between Kostyuk and Kichenok. Previously, the girls will continue to play on September 30 at 06:00 Kyiv time.
