President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that the Ukrainian delegation successfully completed a number of important tasks in the United States, and also gained full support in Congress for the strategy of achieving peace.
Zelensky announced this on Saturday, September 28, in Telegram.
“Returning home from the United States. Many tasks were implemented during this visit. Thanks to the President of the United States, Joe Biden, for the largest ever package of support – almost 8 billion dollars. These are weapons for the front, and air defense for our cities, and the expansion of the F-16 training mission.
I presented a plan for victory, and we agreed that soon in Germany we would discuss our steps together with the Allies in a Ramstein format. October is the time for decisions,” the president said.
Zelensky thanked the US Congress for its constant bipartisan support and desire to help Ukraine achieve victory. He noted that senators and members of the House of Representatives are aware of the potential of joint efforts.
The President also reported that the Ukrainian side received full support for the strategy of achieving peace “by force.”
The head of state emphasized that he had meetings with both candidates for the US presidency. At the meeting with Kamala Harris, according to him, “all important points were made”, and Zelensky thanked Donald Trump for paying attention to the details of the victory plan.
Zelensky’s visit to the USA is the main thing
On September 22, the president of Ukraine began his visit to the US by visiting a weapons factory in Pennsylvania together with state governor Josh Shapiro, an ally of the US Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, which angered some Republicans.
On September 26, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived at the US Capitol and presented a victory plan to Democratic and Republican senators.
Later that day, Zelenskyi met with US President Joe Biden at the White House, where he presented him with a plan for Ukraine’s victory.
In turn, Biden officially confirmed that the United States will provide Ukraine with JSOW bombs for F-16 fighters.
In addition, US presidential candidate Kamala Harris, during a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky on September 26, stated that no decisions on ending Russia’s war against Ukraine can be made without Ukraine’s participation, and called proposals to give up part of the territory unacceptable and dangerous.
On the same day, it became known that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, extended his stay in the USA for an additional day in order to meet with former US President Donald Trump.
On September 27, Zelensky did meet with Trump in New York.
Donald Trump said that he and Zelensky had them “very good relations”, and then added that he has “very good relations with Putin”.
