A swindler was arrested in Khmelnytskyi region, who defrauded people of over 340,000 hryvnias

In the Khmelnytskyi region, a fraudster was arrested who obliged the victims to take microloans, transfer funds to him, and then blocked all communications with them. This is reported by the police of the Khmelnytskyi region, writes UNN.

It is noted that a 22-year-old resident of the Shepetiv region was sending messages offering additional income. It consisted in the fact that the victims had to conclude credit agreements with microfinance organizations, and then transfer the funds to the organizer of the scheme. The victims kept a certain percentage for themselves as a reward. The husband, in turn, undertook to independently repay the debts and the amount of interest accrued for the use of credit funds.

At first, the suspect kept the agreements and paid off parts of the loans. He did this so that the victims would continue to cooperate and increase the amounts of credit agreements. But when the sums grew, he simply blocked contact with the victims.

Currently, the investigators of the Shepetivsky district police department, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office, announced suspicions against the perpetrator for 1.2 tbsp. 190 (Fraud) and ch. 1.2 tbsp. 361 (Unauthorized interference in the operation of information and communication systems, electronic communication networks) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He will appear in court soon.
