In the morning of September 28, Russian troops attacked a medical facility in Sumy, the regional military administration reported.

“The enemy carried out an airstrike on a health care facility in the regional center, using an unmanned aerial vehicle of the Shahed type.” First, there are victims. All necessary services are available on site. The consequences of the Russian attack are being clarified,” the message reads.

Later, OVA was informed about a repeated airstrike in the regional center.

“The enemy directed an unmanned aerial vehicle of the “Shakhed” type to the residential sector. The consequences of the attack are being clarified,” the administration said.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
