The Ministry of Social Policy, together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, is preparing a pilot project for calculating basic social assistance in “Dia”.
This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Kostyantyn Koshelenko, transmits “Ukrinform”.
“Our first step in the automatic approach to the provision of social benefits will be the introduction of basic social assistance. We are launching this pilot project together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation. It will be one assistance instead of five, more significant in amount. And it will be assigned without collecting paper certificates and additional appeals – through the Diya portal, Koshelenko said.
According to him, calculation of basic social assistance will take place thanks to information exchanges between different systems. It will be enough for the applicant for this payment to issue an application for its appointment in “Dia”.
As the deputy minister noted, the Ministry of Social Policy already has a positive experience of cooperation with the Diya portal. In particular, services for internally displaced persons work on it, and four social services for families with children can also be arranged on the portal.
“This is not our first and not our last approach at Diya. In the future, more and more social services and social payments will appear on the portal,” Koshelenko added.
