On September 27, the Playboy press service published information that the WBA, WBC, WBO and IBO heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk conducted a photo shoot for a well-known magazine.
Usyk reacted to this information. The Ukrainian boxer denied that he was filming for Playboy.
“Lies,” Usyk wrote on Instagram.
Subsequently, Usyk’s promotional company asked Playboy to delete the post with Usyk’s photo: Good day, please delete. You do not have the right to display photos without agreement with Oleksandr Usyk
On May 21, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury in a fight for all heavyweight belts. Later, the Ukrainian gave up the IBF title.
The rematch between Usyk and Fury is scheduled for December 21, 2024.
