Former US President, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, when asked about the possible transfer of temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories to Russia, said that “we need peace” and he wants “stop this horror.”

On Thursday, September 26, Donald Trump unexpectedly announced a meeting with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, which will take place on Friday at Trump Tower in New York.
This statement came after US Vice President, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris criticized Trump’s position on ending the war in Ukraine, calling it “offers of surrender.”
Harris emphasized that these proposals are “no different from Putin’s proposals” and do not promote peace, only surrender, which is “dangerous and unacceptable.”

When he was asked about the possible transfer of temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories to Russia, he avoided a direct answer, the publication writes.
“We need peace… We need to stop the death and destruction,” Trump said.
Previously, Trump’s ally, candidate for vice president of the United States, J.D. Vance stated that “Russia could maintain control over the occupied territories of Ukraine” and also proposed to create “a demilitarized zone with a fortified front line.”
